KUALA LUMPUR: Three men, including controversial investment scheme JJ Poor To Rich (JJPTR) founder Johnson Lee, were charged at the magistrate’s court here today with cheating a man of almost RM5,000. The offence falls under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating, which carries a maximum 10 years’ imprisonment, fine, or both, upon conviction. Deputy Public Prosecutor K. Vasugi asked the court to set bail at RM8,000 each. The court set bail at RM4,000 with one surety for each of the accused and fixed Nov 2 for mention. Lee and two of his subordinates were nabbed on May 16 and released on police bail on May 23.
