The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) has temporarily suspended all incoming and outgoing flights. In an announcement on Monday, the Kenya Airports Authority said this was due to the temporary closure of the runway. KAA said the runway closure is as a result of an aborted take-off by a cargo plane after it developed technical hitches. As a result of the runway closure, all incoming and outgoing flights have been temporarily suspended," KAA said. Passengers have been advised to contact their respective airlines for further information on the status of their flights.
