The first oral drug therapy has been clinically used for HIV/AIDS for the past almost 20 years mainly in Africa and Asia. Speaking in Nairobi, Professor Shengxun says TIB blocks the fusion taking place between HIV and CD4 cells, stopping HIV from infecting CD4 cells. Speaking in Nairobi, Prof. Shengxun says as alternative HIV/AIDS therapy, patients using TIB can survive for more than 12 years. “HIV will rapture, or die, within 72 hours if HIV has not accessed CD4 cells.
