The media fraternity has been thrown into mourning following the demise of one of its editors, Cyrus Mwelwa. Mwelwa's death was brought to public attention by MCSK CEO Ezekiel Mutua in a condolence message he conveyed via social media platform X. "I have learned with profound shock of the death of a dear friend and long-time colleague Cyrus Mwelwa, formerly of the Nation Media Group and later the Standard Group," Mutua said. Mwelwa worked at Nation Media Group as a sub-editor between 1995 to 2003 March before moving to the Standard Media Group. Mwelwa's death comes just days after the death of another veteran media personality Sean Cardovillis.
