PETALING JAYA: Datuk Wira Dr Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff (pic) has been appointed as an adjunct professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) chairman will begin his role on June 1 for a period of two years. In this role, Dr Rais Hussin will advise and provide recommendations to the Advanced Informatics department on aspects relating to the formulation of its curriculum. He will also be conducting lectures and seminars as well as conducting dialogues with the academic staff and students of UTM. Rais Hussin has a doctorate in business administration from the International Islamic University Malaysia and is also the author of the book 4IR: AI, Blockchain, Fintech – Reinventing A Nation.
