Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga still wants to be represented by senior counsel Paul Muite in a criminal case. Njenga moved to the High Court after trial magistrate Dolphin Okundi disqualified Muite from representing him. The five moved to the High Court after the prosecution opposed their being represented by Muite. Njenga and his co-accused appeared before the trial magistrate yesterday and informed her that the prosecution had yet to forward court proceedings to the High Court. The prosecution said Muite is a witness in the case.
