UDA secretary general Cleophas Malala has dismissed as hallucinations claims by Seth Panyako that he has resigned from the party as national chairperson. In a statement on Saturday, Malala outlined the various UDA national leadership positions, which list the nurses union secretary general did not feature. UDA leadership is as follows: Cecil Mbarire (Chairperson), Hassan Omar (Deputy chairperson), Cleophas Malalah (Secretary General), Japheth Nyakundi (Treasurer)," Malala tweeted. When he stood to address mourners at a funeral ceremony in Kakamega, Panyako identified himself as the UDA vice chair at the national level. "So today, on behalf of my friend (Hamisi), who used to say things as they are, I announce that I have resigned from the UDA leadership position and that I have decamped UDA party," Panyako said.
