Marcos taps former ERC chief to head Clark Development Corp.


PRESIDENT Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed former Energy Regulatory Commission chairman Agnes Vicenta Devanadera as the new acting president and CEO of Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Malacañang announced Saturday. Press Secretary Rose Beatrix "Trixie" Cruz-Angeles confirmed the appointment of Devanadera, who was also named member of the CDC board. Devanadera replaced Manuel Gaerlan based on a Malacañang letter dated September 1, and signed by Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez. "We confirm the appointment of Agnes Vicenta Salayo Torres Devanadera as Acting President and Chief Executive Officer, and Member of the Board of Directors of Clark Development Corporation. Created in 1993, CDC is an attached agency of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) that manages Clark Freeport Zone, the premier investment and business center in the country.
