Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, participated Friday evening in the proceedings of the African-Italian Summit in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. This is the second summit at the level of heads of state and government, following the Rome Summit in January 2024. This summit, being held for the first time in Africa, coincides with the African Union Summit scheduled for Saturday, according to the Presidential Council's media office. The summit was attended by Italian Prime Minister Giorgina Meloni, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and a number of African heads of state and government.
