It is pertinent to be highlighted that spending on Mark Zuckerberg's security has been raised due to his position and importance to Meta. Reportedly, Meta earmarked around $27 million in 2021 for a complete security program to ensure the safety of Mark Zuckerberg, Chan, and their daughters. Such an amount on Zuckerberg's personal security and his monetary support to ‘defund the police’ groups is seen as hypocrisy.
