Coroners Service has announced it will hold a public inquest into the death of accused sex offender David Singh Tucker. Tucker was found dead the morning of July 25, 2016 at the Surrey Pretrial Centre where he was being held in the segregation unit. Tucker died in custody at the Surrey Pretrial Centre. Coroner spokesman Andy Watson said the official cause of death would be determined at the inquest. The jury inquest will begin on Dec. 10, 2018 at the Burnaby Coroners' Court under presiding coroner Susan Barth.
