Updated Thu, May 12th 2016 at 16:50 GMT +3The National Environment Trust Fund (Netfund) has announced that 2016 winners of its innovation awards (GIA) who will be unveiled on May 19 at a gala and expo to be held at the KICC in Nairobi. The awards provide a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their new innovations that must be eco-friendly. This year’s awards concentrate on waste management, agribusiness, water and energy. There are a total of 13 finalists, and the winner will take home Sh2 million as a grant to upscale their initiative, and a further Sh5 million as technical support for their business.
