Murder Is Easy is Christie’s 1939 novel, adapted a couple of times over the years, with a 2009 iteration including the famous Miss Marple and several new characters and subplots. Previously seen in Ms. Marvel and Polite Society Bucha plays Mrs Humbleby, the wife of one of the mystery’s murder victims. The story has been adapted to screen by Sian Ejiwunmi-Le Berre, who is known for her wry humor and contemporary style. “I’ve watched every Agatha Christie adaptation out, because Christie wrote for the world and the whole world loves her back,” says Ejiwunmi-Le Berre. When I first read Murder Is Easy, I couldn’t believe how daring, experimental and furious the book was.
