Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Jide Ojuko, has said that efforts are on towards providing a comprehensive database for Baales in the state. Ojuko made the disclosure during the 2017 budget assessment visit by the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, on Tuesday. He also noted that work would soon commence on the 57 rural roads earlier announced by the state government. He disclosed that the Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led administration had been augmenting the local councils expenditure with about N600 million on monthly basis. They further commended the ministry for maintaining peace and adequate security in the various communities, socioeconomic development through the coordinating activities and effective monitoring of local government areas and LCDAs.
