A house has been damaged by fire on Main North Rd, near the intersection with Cranford St, in Christchurch, on Friday evening. A person has suffered smoke inhalation from a fire at a house in Christchurch. The fire happened on Main North Rd, near the intersection with Cranford St in Papanui, about 7.30pm on Friday. Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Mau Barbara said the house was fully ablaze when firefighters arrived. One person who experienced smoke inhalation was treated at the scene by St John ambulance.
