Wellington Phoenix fall to 10-man NPL team Bentleigh Greens in FFA Cup LIAM HYSLOPWELLINGTON PHOENIXPhoenix coach Mark Rudan says there's plenty to work on in the offensive third after losing to 10-man Bentleigh. The Wellington Phoenix have become the fifth A-League club to lose to National Premier League opposition in the FFA Cup. They went down 1-0 to Victorian NPL team Bentleigh Greens on Tuesday night in Melbourne, with the hosts playing for 57 minutes with 10 men. Bentleigh deserved their win, more than matching it with the Phoenix with 11 men, then looking comfortable in defence with 10. Those teams had the following finishes, in order, in the subsequent A-League season: eighth, 10th, eighth, ninth and ninth.
