Police sources say the suspect attempted to escape upon sighting the officers by jumping through a window while wielding a cutlass and attempting to attack the team. “The suspect was rushed to the Police Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead by the medical officer on duty. The suspect reportedly fled with a Toyota Camry saloon car with registration number GC 123-12, police and voter ID cards, a cash sum of GH¢12,200.00, and other personal effects. “On January 25, 2026, the suspect was reportedly spotted driving the stolen Toyota Camry at Bontroase.
