This political market is decentralized; the battering, haggling and trickery happens simultaneously around the country. The Kenyan political scene is officially open for business- it is now a full blown hustling and bustling African market place. In other cases, goat traders come to the city to sell goats that are still in the countryside; sight unseen. The wealthy but hungry buyers are the leaders of the big political parties vying for top offices in the land. This market is a seller’s market - the cost of commodities is high, and it will climb even higher as 2017 inches closer.
