Ababu criticised those opposed to Water CS Eugene Wamalwa’s Nairobi governor bid. Former ODM secretary general Ababu Namwamba has said he will resist any attempts to change the date of the 2017 election, despite the exit of the IEBC board. The Budalang’i MP told the select committee to spare IEBC chief executive Ezra Chiloba from the sack, saying the irregularities were orchestrated by James Oswago. Any move to change the date will be resisted at all costs,” he said in Amagoro on Saturday. Ababu called for the speedy conclusion of reforms at the electoral agency to have the elections conducted on time.
