KUALA LUMPUR: Steps to upgrade Prasarana Malaysia Bhd substations to prevent the repeat of the disruption on the Kelana Jaya LRT line last week are now being taken. Prasarana president and group CEO Datuk Azmi Abdul Aziz said the upgrading work would cost RM150mil while the rest was for miscellaneous work. Azmi said the disruption on the Kelana Jaya LRT line last week happened due to power outage. Azmi said preliminary assessment had shown that the Kelana Jaya LRT line was facing aging issues. Thousands were stranded on Sept 7 and Sept 9 when the Kelana Jaya LRT operation was disrupted.
