more-inA 40-year-old woman was killed and her husband injured after being hit by a tanker in outer Delhi’s Kanjhawala on Friday night. Scooter off balanceThe duo were returning home from work on a scooter which lost balance and fell down after hitting a pothole on the road only to be hit by the tanker coming from behind. The victim, Usha Chauhan, a resident of Karala village fell off the scooter and was crushed under the tanker while her husband managed to hold on. The tanker’s driver left the vehicle on the spot and fled. The police said the victim, a government school teacher, was rushed to the nearby hospital where she succumbed to injuries.
