RAB-2 has seized snake venom worth Tk75 crore from Dakshinkhan police station area of the capital while arresting six people on suspicion of being members of an international snake venom smuggling ring. Primary interrogation of the arrested accused revealed that there is huge demand of snake venom among a certain section of people. So, for making large profits, snake venom is being collected and smuggled from different parts of the world. RAB also claimed that the arrested accused are active members of an organized international snake venom smuggling ring.
