JOHOR BARU: Swedish home furnishing giant Ikea expects three to four million visitors once its third and largest store in Malaysia opens in Tebrau here next year. Construction of the RM592mil-project spanning 46,713 sq m had started in Jalan Desa Tebrau following a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday. “In time, we hope to reach six million visitors per year for our Tebrau store compared with seven million visitors recorded at Ikea Damansara (in Kuala Lumpur) annually,” he said. Rojkjaer has expressed confidence that the latest Ikea store would complement Ikea Singapore. Ikea Tebrau would offer some 300 job opportunities for mostly Johoreans, he said.
