A nationalist MP has tried to dismiss similarities between Michelle Mone and Michael Matheson, claiming the two situations are completely different. Baroness Mone, 52, claimed she wanted to protect her family from press intrusion. Mr Matheson repeatedly claimed the device had only been used for parliamentary business. Put to him that Humza Yousaf had accepted Mr Matheson's excuse, Mr Linden said: "I think Michael Matheson made a full statement in the Scottish Parliament. The Prime Minister should kick Michelle Mone out of the Conservative Party and withdraw the whip."
