The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity in Tripoli, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, met with the new Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in it, Abdullah Batili, today, Sunday, at the Cabinet Office, in the envoy’s first official meeting after his assignment, according to Dabaiba’s media office. The statement stated that Dabaiba affirmed his government’s support for the tasks entrusted to Batelli, in order to achieve stability and access to elections. During the meeting, Dabaiba presented a number of explanatory presentations on government spending indicators and distributive justice, and the features of the road map reached by the Committee for the Return of the Secretariat to the People, formed last March. Batili also met with the President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Manfi, who received him today in his office in Tripoli. The day before yesterday, Batili arrived in the Libyan capital on his first visit after his assignment last September.
