Men's hockey2/5 Pool A saw the Indian men's hockey team begins their campaign with a 3-2 victory over New Zealand. Mixed Archery Team4/5 India's Deepika Kumari and Pravin Jadhav registered a come-from-behind 5-3 win against Chinese Taipei's Chih-Chun Tang and Chia-En. They reach the quarter-finals of the Mixed Archery Event. Deepika and Pravin were the first archers to take part in the Mixed Team Event as this was the first time it has been introduced at the Games.
