Victoria has recorded five new local cases of Covid, taking the latest outbreak to 40 infections. The data comes amid warnings the state government is considering extending the snap seven day lockdown introduced to stem the spread of the virus. In the 24 hours to Sunday, 17,702 people in the state were vaccinated against Covid. The anti-lockdown rally came as it was revealed wearing face masks and other restrictions could be extended well beyond the seven-day lockdown in Victoria. Whether students will return to the classroom will also be on the agenda - but this will be determined by the number of local Covid cases recorded during the week.
