Emergency services were called to an early morning blaze on State Highway 1 near Waimate on Sunday a day after a house in Temuka was also damaged in a suspicious blaze. Crews from Waimate and Glenavy attended the Sunday blaze that is being treated as suspicious, the Fenz spokesman said. Police confirmed they have launched an arson investigation after a Temuka house was extensively damaged early on Saturday.
