2 Pakistan Army has been campaigning for its image makeover for a couple of years. Pakistan Army had a role, even though direct one, in the ouster of Nawaz Sharif as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Hafiz Saeed's decision to enter politics in Pakistan is significant as he is known to work on the diktat of the Pakistan Army and the ISI. In mid-July, the streets of Islamabad were filled with posters, banners, hoarding and slogans prompting the Pakistan Army to take over. Nawaz Sharif's ouster a fortnight later may just have provided the Pakistan Army with another opportunity to impose martial law in the country.
