KUALA TERENGGANU: A woman who was hanging up clothes to dry in Kampung Banggol Katong here had a terrifying encounter with a king cobra measuring over three metres long. Zaipah Kunton, 59, said in the 9.30am incident on Wednesday (April 8), she was on the veranda doing her normal laundry routine when she noticed a long, yellowish object under a banana tree nearby. She said she mistook it for a banana tree stem as it was not moving. He said the snake was found in a pile of old furniture under a banana tree. He said the king cobra was later released back into its natural habitat far from human settlements.
