Expect to see fewer promotions at Starbucks (SBUX). The move is part of new CEO Brian Niccol’s strategy to reposition Starbucks as a premium brand while also reducing the strain on employees, who get flooded with work when promotions are high. Starbucks also isn’t planning to run broad offers during the holiday season, and instead aims to promote seasonal drinks through advertising, the Journal noted. In the past, Starbucks had mostly avoided coffee promotion but ramped them up earlier this year to lure back customers. Niccol wants to make Starbucks (SBUX) a coffee shop again, not just an online-driven business.

The suits were all filed anonymously by John Doe and Jane Doe plaintiffs in federal court in the Southern District of New York. Doe said he reported the alleged assault to Macy’s security, who, he alleges, did not investigate. Then, you'll whisk together the ingredients for your dressing — but before we go ANY further, I have to make a confession: It's really freaking hard to find Duke's mayo here in New York City, so ultimately, I ended up making a batch of a copycat recipe I found online. I know, I know. It's not fair, "I didn't follow the recipe," etc. But hear me out: If this recipe is as "cursed" as everyone says it is, I figured it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to give it a little boost, so to speak. My homemade Duke's mayo was A+, so I have no regrets.

By Matt Egan, CNNNew York (CNN) — Hurricane Milton passed through Florida days ago, but the devastating storm is still causing chaos at gas stations. Hundreds of gas stations in Florida still don’t have gas, including roughly half of the stations in the hard-hit Tampa area. Floridians who are fortunate to access working gas stations often find themselves stuck in long lines. Meanwhile, the number of gas stations without gas has fallen sharply. This represents a significant improvement, although it still means that more than 1,300 Florida gas stations remain dry five days after Hurricane Milton made landfall.
