Fertiliser enterprises apply modern technology to reduce emissions
Several fertiliser companies have implemented greener methods of fertiliser production, including supply of renewable energy sources for the ammonia production process. Of which, it applies green technology in production lines to optimise the efficiency of using input materials of its nitrogen fertiliser plant. For fertiliser product development, PVCFC has developed a number of modern technologies such as Bio-Coating technology, Humate complex technology, biotechnology, controlled release fertilisers (CRF) technology, and slow-release fertilisers (SRF) technology, to develop fertiliser product lines having high efficiency in agricultural production. Those will increase crop yield and resistance to pests and diseases, and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The application of Bio-Coating technology has helped PVCFC to create economical fertiliser products, disease resistant fertiliser products and bio fertiliser products.

Government leaders of Vietnam, China hold talks
This is the first official visit by PM Chinh and the first by a Vietnamese PM to China after seven years. It is also the first time key leaders of the two countries directly meet after China completed the State leadership for the new tenure. At the talks, the two leaders agreed to promote the effective implementation of the Vietnam - China joint statement on the continued enhancement of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership; while maintaining exchanges and meetings at all levels. Premier Li affirmed his willingness to deepen substantive cooperation with Vietnam, and continuously enrich the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Swiss National Council President’s visit to strengthen partnership between the two countries: Ambassador
HÀ NỘI — The official visit of the President of the Swiss National Council Martin Candinas to Việt Nam from June 27 to 30 will be an opportunity to further strengthen the partnership between the two countries. Ambassador of Switzerland to Việt Nam Thomas Gass made the statement in a recent interview with the Vietnam News Agency. Switzerland established its diplomatic relations with Việt Nam on 11 October 1971 and opened its first Embassy in 1973. Swiss direct investment in Việt Nam in 2022 amounted to more than CHF2 billion with more than 100 Swiss companies in the country, according to statistics from the Embassy of Switzerland in Việt Nam. Since 1991 when Switzerland became Việt Nam's technical and economic development partner, the country's government has provided CHF600 million to Việt Nam for socio-economic development.

USS Ronald Reagan carrier strike group starts five-day visit to Việt Nam
“We are honoured to receive the USS Ronald Reagan and CSG 5 in cooperation with our Vietnamese partners. “We’re excited to come to Việt Nam and appreciate the welcome our strike group has received,” said Rear Admiral Patrick Hannifin, commander, Task Force (CTF) 70/Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 5. “Visits like this reinforce our partnership and commitment to confronting shared challenges in the maritime domain.”This marks the USS Ronald Reagan’s first visit to the country since diplomatic relations between Việt Nam and the US were normalised in 1995. The USS Ronald Reagan arrived with two escort ships, the guided-missile cruisers USS Antietam (CG 54) and USS Robert Smalls (CG 62). The Ronald Reagan CSG is deployed to the US 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

France, Italy enter final of Da Nang Int’l Firework Festival
Firework display of the Italian team on June 17(Photo: VNA)- The fireworks teams from France and Italy have been selected to compete in the final night of the Da Nang International Firework Festival (DIFF) 2023, the organisation board announced on June 25.According to Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen, who is also head of the organisation board, the jury found it difficult to choose the two teams for the final as all the eight teams have shown endless creativity in their eye-catching fireworks performances which left a deep impression on the audience.The French and Italian teams combined music and fireworks in an artistic and smooth form, and their fireworks displays are very consistent with the rhythm and the emotion of the music, said composer Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians' Association, a member of the jury.According to the draw result, the Italian team will perform first, and the French team's display will close the DIFF 2023.This year, the organisation board of DIFF 2023 has decided to double the prize value. When I first moved to Việt Nam, I had enjoyed the delights of fine dining before, but the more rustic approach to food in the country is addictive and enchanting.

Amended Bidding Law passed towards a complete legal framework for bidding
HÀ NỘI — The amended Law on Bidding has been passed at the ongoing fifth session of the 15th National Assembly on Friday. The passing of the law is expected to create a complete, synchronous and unified legal framework on bidding, procurement and use of state capital. Agencies had specified regulations on concentrated buying of rare drugs and those that are purchased in small quantities. They also amended regulations on health establishments being entitled to make their own decisions on procurement. Prohibited acts in bidding activities have also been reviewed and revised.

Việt Nam condemns terrorism in all forms, manifestations: Ambassador
NEW YORK - Việt Nam strongly condemns terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations, by anyone, anywhere and for any purpose, Ambassador Đặng Hoàng Giang, the country’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), has said. Attending the UN General Assembly’s eighth review of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy on June 22-23 in New York, Giang stressed that terrorism remains a serious threat to peace, stability and development on a global scale. He affirmed the adoption of the Resolution on the eighth review by consensus represents a unified and strong message of the international community that does not accept terrorism in any form. Referring to the incident that happened in the Central Highlands province of Dắk Lắk on June 11, Giang stressed that this is an organised terrorist act targeting the headquarters of state agencies, officials and civilians; affirming that relevant organisations and individuals will be handled commensurate with the level of violations. He reaffirmed Việt Nam's stance is in accordance with relevant UN documents, and proposed countries and international organisations to support and cooperate in investigating the case as well as preventing similar acts in the future.
