Police capture 5-member gang for stealing over 100 dogs in north-central Vietnam
Police in Thanh Hoa Province, north-central Vietnam have arrested five suspects who stole over 100 dogs in a single month starting early October, an officer said on Wednesday. These dog thieves were identified as Le Van Hop, Nguyen Ba Thanh, Le Van Thanh, Nguyen Ba Luc, and Le Van Khanh, aged between 24 and 50. All of them reside in Hai Hoa Commune, Nghi Son Town. Hop, Ba Thanh, Van Thanh, and Luc, who have a previous conviction for dog theft, stole dogs and sold them to Khanh, according to a preliminary investigation. From early October to the date when they were apprehended, the group stole over 100 dogs in Nghi Son Town and Nong Cong District.

Vietnam’s state president to visit Chile, Peru this weekend

Military aircraft crash in Bình Định: All two pilots contacted
BÌNH ĐỊNH — Authorities have established contact with both of the two pilots involved in a military aircraft crash, which occurred during a training flight over Tây Xuân Commune in the south central province of Quảng Bình’s Tây Sơn District on November 6. Vietnam to debut AI tool for e-commerce platform supervision next week
Vietnam will introduce an AI-powered tool next week aimed at overseeing the revenue and business operations of e-commerce platforms, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc announced Tuesday at the 15th National Assembly’s eighth session in Hanoi. Phoc’s statement responded to growing calls for stricter measures against tax evasion on e-commerce platforms, an issue raised by National Assembly deputy Tran Hoang Ngan from Ho Chi Minh City. Ngan urged the government and relevant agencies to bolster budget collection efforts and take firm action against tax evasion within e-commerce. “Taxmen will start collecting taxes from domestic e-commerce platforms this year,” he said. “Next week, an AI tool for overseeing revenue and sales on e-commerce platforms will make its debut.”Hanoi has collected VND35 trillion ($1.4 billion) in tax from online marketplaces.
