Special Collection on the Middle EastThe Middle East and North Africa is a troubled region, and it isn’t easy to find a success story to write about or a rewarding political experience to report. Much of what shaped the region today stems from its historical experiences: the region did not have its renaissance and missed the age of reason and the industrial revolution. European colonialism blocked Arab and Muslim efforts to modernize and espouse rational thinking. This complete work consists of several dozen essays spread out over 8 parts tackling the region’s conflicts and historical evolution, relating them to contemporary issues. Divided into distinct regions and critical issues, the Special Collection of the Middle East is your source to better understand this volatile region and to be prepared for what comes next.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fast becoming the latest frontier in the competition between the United States and China in Africa, as African countries are set to gain from both AI superpowers’ keen interest in collaboration to advance AI innovation on the continent. However, it also found that China led globally in terms of AI patents with 61.1%, while the US accounted for only 20%. And as a recent article in Voice of America pointed out, the future of AI in Africa will be shaped by the competition between the US and China. “To advance in AI research and innovation, African countries will need significant investments in computing infrastructure,” said Chinasa T. Skinification is being driven by the growing demand for multifunctional products, as consumers no longer want to choose between sun protection and skin care; they want both in one easy step. Indeed, the number of sun care products including claims such as skin health or antioxidants has only grown, according to Euromonitor International’s PCP system. VitaSea unveiled a collection of five sun care products specifically designed for sensitive skin, including multifunctional formats such as sticks and sprays. By utilising its exclusive "Mineral Superblend" technology, blending premium minerals with botanical extracts, vitamins, and peptides, the company has formulated a revolutionary skin care essential: an all-in-one daily facial mineral sunscreen, moisturiser, and primer.
