Hassan said the Tanzanian government appreciates the longstanding technical assistance provided by the government of Egypt through the various areas of cooperation. (Reuters) - Brazil's most-capped player Formiga is to retire from international duty later this month, bringing an end to a career that included seven World Cups and Olympic Games, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said. After making her Brazil debut as a 17-year-old at the 1995 World Cup, Formiga went on to play at every Olympic tournament since women's football made its debut at the 1996 Atlanta Games. The 43-year-old midfielder wrote her name into the record books as the first women's player to participate in seven Olympic Games in Tokyo in July. Formiga was part of the Brazil team that lost to Germany in the 2007 World Cup final. Her last World Cup appearance was at the 2019 edition, where Brazil lost to hosts France in the round of 16.

CAIRO – 9 November 2021: An Egyptian Court sentenced three defendants to life, 15 years in prison, after being convicted of raping a lady in Matrouh governorate in 2015. Two of the defendants were sentenced in absentia due to their escape. The convicts were also suspects in the famous case known as “Fairmont rape case,” which the prosecution temporarily closed due to insufficient evidence. The suspects were ordered released after being detained for months pending investigations over committing alleged gang rape at the luxury Fairmont Hotel in Cairo in 2014. Last April, the prosecution announced that the extensive investigations into the Fairmont rape case given the accompanying recordings, testimonies and reports led to proving accusations against the same three defendants in another rape incident, during which they raped a lady in northern coast in 2015.

CAIRO – 9 November 2021: Egypt is hosting Tuesday an extraordinary meeting of the Arab Intelligence Forum encompassing chiefs of intelligence bodies at Arab countries whereas the focus of discussions is the issue of Afghanistan. The forum was launched in February by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, who stressed in the opening speech the importance of activating the Arab Intelligence Forum as a strong and supportive mechanism for cooperation between countries.
