The written examination for the special 48th Bangladesh Civil Service, aimed at recruiting doctors, has taken place. A total of 41,025 candidates applied to sit the exam, according to Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) spokesperson SM Motiur Rahman. A case has been filed in Gopalganj over an attack on police personnel and the torching of police vehicles. The case names 75 individuals and accuses 450 to 500 unidentified people of involvement in the incident. Joint security forces have arrested 165 people amid the ongoing curfew in Gopalganj following the deadly violence surrounding the National Citizen Party's rally. According to police, 66 people were arrested in Muksudpur, 45 in Sadar, 24 in Kashiani, 17 in Tungipara, and 12 in Kotalipara.
