'Welcome to India' banners featuring PM Hasina, Modi seen across Delhi
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in New Delhi on Saturday to attend the ceremony, marking her as the first "distinguished" guest. During her stay in New Delhi, Prime Minister Hasina will have a private meeting with Modi following the swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7:15 pm on Sunday. The ceremony, following the 2024 general elections, will see the oath-taking of Prime Minister Modi and his Council of Ministers. Prime Minister Hasina is scheduled to depart New Delhi for Dhaka on Monday, expected to arrive at 8 pm. Bomb-making materials found in Netrokona ‘militant den’
Police say materials for making bombs have been found at a fish farm they suspect was being used as a militant hideout in Netrokona’s Sadar Upazila. Nearly 150 police personnel, alongside members of a bomb disposal unit from Dhaka, entered the farm around 8:30 am on Sunday, reports bdnews24.com. Our counter-terrorism unit’s bomb disposal unit is at work. But it may take all day today.”Netrokona Additional Superintendent of Police Harunur Rashid said that 150 members of the police, including the bomb disposal unit and anti-terrorism unit, arrived from Dhaka at 8:30 am. The connectivity in the area is good, but the fish farm is located in a quiet area on one side of the village.

Constable Monirul fatally shot by SMG gunfire
According to the police, Constable Kausar Ahmed fired 38 rounds from two magazines of a submachine gun. Constable Monirul Islam was struck by the bullets, killing him on the spot. Four get death penalty for 2016 murder of driver in Jamalpur
A Jamalpur court has sentenced four people to death for the murder of the driver of a battery-run three-wheeler in Sarishabari Upazila in 2016. Those sentenced to death include Sohag, identified with a single name, Md Jakir Hossain, Rubel Mia, and Moni Taheri, also known as Monir Hossain. According to case files, on Oct 1, 2016, driver Laizu Mia had his three-wheeler stolen and was strangled to death on the Sarishabari-Tarakandi road in Mulbari. The day after the incident, the victim’s father, Amjad Hossain Anju, filed a murder case at Sarishabari Police Station. Police arrested Rubel Mia and Moni Taheri suspecting their involvement before detaining the other two.

Our Sunday church clothes weren’t jeans but standard issue Lutheran wear: baggy cotton trousers, oversized short-sleeved shirts, a too-long or too-short clip-on tie, and worn but well-polished shoes. Every Monday, though, all were back in our denim blue uniforms under the blue, summer southern Illinois sky.

Puig part of 4-way tie for lead in LIV Golf Houston
