Three Ethiopian companies have been granted licenses to offer multimodal transport services, marking a significant step towards a more robust logistics sector in the country. The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Dr. Alemu Sime, presented the qualification certificates to Panafric Global, Tikur Abay, and Cosmos Multi Modal Share Company. It is to be recalled that the Ethiopian Maritime Authority (EMA) rejected bids from seven logistics firms for multimodal operating licenses in 2023, including Tikur Abay. He highlighted the development of guidelines specifically designed to enable private entities to participate in the logistics sector. These guidelines have now paved the way for issuing licenses to qualified private transport companies.

They had arranged to have food, talent and fellowship, similar to the plans for Multicultural Coffeehouse. Because Expressions and the Multicultural Coffeehouse were similar gatherings scheduled back-to-back, MSA and BSU decided to work together and combine their efforts for one event hosted on March 1. The Multicultural Coffeehouse and Expressions event took place in the LaRita Boren Campus Center, outside of the Office of Intercultural Programs. They transitioned the night smoothly from Expressions to the Multicultural Coffeehouse.

NEW YORK (AP) — The biopic “Bob Marley: One Love” has been a box-office hit in the United States and several other countries. Some of those laws have eased, granting Rastafari sacramental authorization to grow the marijuana they deem sacred. The Rastafari faith is rooted in 1930s Jamaica, growing as a response by Black people to white colonial oppression. “Ganja,” as marijuana is known in the Caribbean, has a long history in Jamaica, and its arrival predates the Rastafari faith. In one of the first scenes of the film, Marley mentions this name.
