DVLA goes global with licensing services in USA, Germany, other countries
This follows approval from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who signed off the initiative to allow DVLA to operate abroad. To curb this, DVLA partnered with the Foreign Affairs Ministry to directly provide licensing services overseas. We therefore asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to allow us to offer licensing services directly in some overseas countries. With this expansion, Ghanaians abroad will soon be able to renew licenses, acquire new ones, and access other DVLA services without fear of fraud. 'Tell them you're the fake doctor with fake academic records' - NPP's Amekplenu to Rashid Tanko
However, speaking during a heated discussion on the same show, Senyo Amekplenu rejected the characterisation and accused Rashid Tanko of lacking the moral authority to make such claims, citing what he described as Tanko’s exposed fake academic credentials. “You don’t sit here and call the NPP a fake party because you heard somebody say it,” Senyo said. “It is a party that does not have fake academic credentials. He then turned his attention directly to Rashid Tanko, accusing him of hypocrisy and dishonesty. Tell them you are the fake man with fake academic records.

KATH denies reports on alleged detention of patients

Chairman Wontumi’s Trial: State’s first witness cross-examined
The first prosecution witness, Michael Gyedu Ayisi, an artisanal miner, told the court that he worked as an administrator and supervisor on a concession, which he said was taken over by Chairman Wontumi. Under cross-examination by Andy Appiah-Kubi, counsel for Chairman Wontumi, the witness said his immediate boss, Henry Okun, took over the concession from Chairman Wontumi. Ayisi said he did not personally know Chairman Wontumi but saw him on television as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Chairman Wontumi has been charged with deliberately facilitating an unlicensed mining operation, while Kwame Antwi is charged with assignment of mineral rights without approval. He (Chairman Wontumi) has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is on a GH¢15 million bail.
