Sulemana was empanelled with an NDC communicator on the ‘Amanyosem’ show on Original TV but refused to join the discussion about the features of the IMF deal. Abubakari Sulemana protested that the issues around Ghana’s deal with IMF should be handled by ministers and their deputies. Sulemana argued that the country would not have gone to the IMF if the government was prudent in its management of the country’s resources. There would have been no need for us to go to IMF if we managed our finances well. The IMF board on May 17, 2023 approved $3billion credit facility for Ghana which is to be disbursed in tranches of US$600 million.

Nigerian gay pastor engages in 'dirty' social media fight with Sam George over LGBTQ+
The group referred to the lead sponsor of the bill, Sam George as a "liar" for claiming that members of the LGBTQ+ are asking for same-sex marriage in Ghana. The British-Nigerian gay pastor, Reverend Jide Macaulay referred to Sam George as a failed politician and a national disgrace for allegedly peddling falsehood against the queer community. The founder and pastor for House of Rainbow CIC in a tweet wrote “Sam George lacks the basic intelligence in understanding human sexuality. Off you go!” Sam George tweeted. The LGBTQ+ Bill before Parliament is titled: "The Promotion of Proper Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill 2021."

I would have slapped NPP executives who call for Gyakye Quayson to contest - Obiri Boahen
Obiri Boahen expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that if such a scenario were to occur within the NPP, he would personally confront party executives. Gyakye Quayson, who recently had his name expunged from parliamentary records by the Supreme Court, has been hauled before the High Court for criminal-related offences, however, the NDC leadership has stated that he will be contesting in the upcoming Assin North by-election. "Gyakye Quayson is facing about ten crimes at the High Court," Boahen remarked. "Sometimes when I argue with some NDC leaders, then I get sad and cry for Mother Ghana and Africa. The apex court ruled that Quayson was ineligible to assume the role of an MP as he did not qualify at the time he contested the 2020 election.

Supreme Court unanimously dismisses case against regulation of plant breeders

In 2020, Parliament passed the Plant Variety Protection Act 2020 (ACT 1050), which aimed to regulate breeders in the country. Food Sovereignty Ghana sought a declaration from the Supreme Court that these provisions of the law are unconstitutional. On May 31, a seven-member Supreme Court panel, presided over by Justice Paul Baffoe Bonnie, unanimously dismissed the case. The dismissal of the case by the Supreme Court concludes this legal challenge against the regulation of plant breeders, marking an important development in the implementation of the Plant Variety Protection Act 2020.

GhanaWeb has now sighted the video of the Ambulance Service that has gone viral. In the video, the said ambulance can be seen in a car dealership with several vehicles of different brands.
