Toy trains to run from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling on alternate days
“Because of certain operational reasons, it has been decided that the toy train service from NJP to Darjeeling and vice-versa will run on alternate days from today (Friday) till July 1,” said an official of the NFR. Along with tourists, locals also use the train service to reach different locations in the hills. Sources in DHR said the decision has been taken to run additional joy rides, a return trip between Darjeeling and Ghum railway stations. It is the most popular toy train service for tourists traveling in the hills. As some of the diesel locos are under maintenance, we have decided to run the service on alternate days as the number of joy rides can’t be reduced now,” the source added.

EAM Jaishankar to visit UAE for high-level talks today
New Delhi: External Affairs Minister (EAM), S Jaishankar, will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between the two nations. During his official visit, EAM Jaishankar will hold a comprehensive meeting with his UAE counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two ministers are expected to discuss a wide range of issues pertinent to the India-UAE partnership, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Sunday. Earlier, the EAM visited Sri Lanka, emphasising India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy. प्रोटेम स्पीकर की मदद से इंडिया गठबंधन का इनकार, संसद सत्र शुरू होने से पहले ही मचा घमासान
मोदी सरकार के तीसरे कार्यकाल में लोकसभा का पहला सत्र 24 जून से शुरू होने वाला है। इस सत्र की शुरुआत से पहले ही विपक्षी इंडिया गठबंधन ने अपने इरादे जाहिर कर दिए हैं। स्पीकर के चुनाव से पहले ही प्रोटेम स्पीकर के चयन को लेकर इंडिया गठबंधन ने आपत्ति जताई है। अब यह खबर सामने आ रही है कि लोकसभा के प्रोटेम स्पीकर (अस्थायी अध्यक्ष) की सहायता के लिए नामित विपक्षी नेता इस जिम्मेदारी को अस्वीकार करने पर विचार कर रहे हैं। प्रोटेम स्पीकर के लिए कांग्रेस के आठ बार के लोकसभा सांसद कोडिकुन्निल सुरेश की अनदेखी का आरोप विपक्ष की ओर से लगाया गया है। कोडिकुन्निल सुरेश की जगह बीजेपी सांसद भर्तृहरि महताब को प्रोटेम स्पीकर बनाए जाने के बाद इंडिया गठबंधन अब नए सदस्यों को शपथ दिलाने में महताब की सहायता करने की भूमिका को अस्वीकार कर सकता है।ओडिशा की कटक लोकसभा सीट से भारतीय जनता पार्टी (BJP) के सांसद महताब को राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने संविधान के अनुच्छेद 95(1) के तहत प्रोटेम स्पीकर नियुक्त किया था ताकि वे 26 जून को अध्यक्ष के चुनाव तक अध्यक्ष के कर्तव्यों का निर्वहन कर सकें। राष्ट्रपति ने महताब की सहायता के लिए वरिष्ठ सांसदों के एक पैनल को भी नामित किया था जिसमें तीन विपक्षी दलों के सांसद-कांग्रेस नेता के. सुरेश, तृणमूल कांग्रेस (टीएमसी) नेता सुदीप बंद्योपाध्याय और डीएमके सांसद टी आर बालू का नाम था। वहीं भाजपा नेता राधा मोहन सिंह और फग्गन सिंह कुलस्ते का नाम भी इस लिस्ट में शामिल है।कांग्रेस ने यहां तक आरोप लगाया है कि दलित समुदाय से होने के कारण कोडिकुन्निल सुरेश को बीजेपी सरकार ने नजरअंदाज किया। विपक्षी खेमे के सूत्रों ने कहा कि सुरेश, बालू और बंद्योपाध्याय उन्हें दी गई भूमिका स्वीकार नहीं कर सकते। विपक्ष के आरोपों का जवाब देते हुए संसदीय कार्य मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने महताब की नियुक्ति को उचित ठहराते हुए कहा कि सबसे लंबे समय तक बिना किसी रुकावट के सेवा देने वाले सांसद को इस पद के लिए चुना जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि महताब बिना किसी ब्रेक के सात बार लोकसभा के सदस्य हैं। इस समय अगर हम मंत्रियों को छोड़ दें तो वे सबसे लंबे समय तक सेवा देने वाले सदस्य हैं। उन्होंने के सुरेश के बारे में बात की। उनके कुल आठ कार्यकाल हैं, लेकिन 2004 और 1998 में ब्रेक थे। कोई उल्लंघन नहीं हुआ है, केवल वे ही महसूस करेंगे (कि उल्लंघन हुआ है) जिन्होंने सिस्टम या उसके नियमों को नहीं पढ़ा है।लोकसभा चुनाव के बाद संसद के पहले सत्र से पहले प्रोटेम स्पीकर की नियुक्ति सरकार और विपक्ष के बीच विवाद का विषय बन गई है। विपक्ष पहले से ही कई मुद्दों पर सरकार को घेरने की तैयारी कर रहा है, जिसमें NEET-NET मामला, बंगाल में ट्रेन दुर्घटना, नए आपराधिक कानूनों का क्रियान्वयन , एग्जिट पोल के बाद शेयर की कीमतों में अचानक उछाल और चुनाव परिणाम के दिन उनकी गिरावट शामिल है।

आतिशी ने कहा, "आज मेरे अनशन का दूसरा दिन है। कल से कई लोग मुझसे पूछ रहे हैं कि मैंने यह अनशन क्यों शुरू किया? दिल्ली के लोग पानी की एक-एक बूंद के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे हैं। दिल्ली के पास अपना पानी नहीं है। दिल्ली का सारा पानी इसके पड़ोसी राज्य से आता है।"जागरण संवाददाता, नई दिल्ली। दिल्ली की जल मंत्री आतिशी ने जल सत्याग्रह के दूसरे दिन कुछ लोगों द्वारा अनशन स्थल पर घुसकर उपद्रव करने और उन पर हमला करने की कोशिश का आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने कहा, "भाजपा को यह समझना होगा कि मैं गांधीजी के सत्याग्रह के रास्ते पर हूं। मैं ऐसे छोटे हमलों से नही डरूंगी। जब तक दिल्ली के 28 लाख लोगों को उनके हक का पानी नही मिल जाता तब तक यह अनशन जारी रहेगा।"सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने भी माना कि पानी की कमी है: आतिशीउन्होंने कहा, "दिल्ली के हिस्से का कुल पानी 1,005 एमजीडी (प्रति दिन मिलियन गैलन) है। इसमें से 613 एमजीडी पानी हरियाणा से आता है। हालांकि मैंने हरियाणा और हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्रियों से बात की है। मैं सुप्रीम कोर्ट भी गई, जिसने माना कि दिल्ली में पानी की कमी है। इसके बावजूद हरियाणा सरकार ने हमें पानी नहीं दिया।"आतिशी के स्वास्थ्य की डॉक्टरों ने की जांचवहीं सत्याग्रह स्थल पर आतिशी के ब्लड प्रेशर, वजन और शुगर लेवल की डॉक्टरों ने जांच की, जिसमें गिरावट आने की बात कही जा रही है। वहीं आतिशी ने कहा कि आज सुबह दिल्ली जल बोर्ड से मिले आंकड़ों से पता चला है कि कल उनके अनशन पर बैठने के बाद भी हरियाणा ने 110 MGD पानी कम भेजा है, इस वजह से दिल्ली के 28 लाख लोग प्यास से बेहाल हैं। उनके सत्याग्रह का आज दूसरा दिन था।ये भी पढ़ेंः जेल में लगातार कमजोर हो रहे केजरीवाल, अब तक 8 किलो वजन घटा; AAP का दावा
