I just finally gave in and bought this, and it's my new go-to bag for everything from grocery runs to appointments! And on my next trip, I will absolutely be using it for my in-flight essentials: my Kindle, AirFly Bluetooth adapter, headphones, hand sanitizer, lotion, and lip balm. The pockets inside are so handy, and I even had room to spare throughout my Iceland trip. Just make sure that you zip the zipper ALL the way because the zipper goes down pretty far on the sides for easier access to contents." It’s big enough to hold my phone, wallet, passport, hand sanitizer, and ChapStick."

Share FacebookTwitterLinkedInA West Clare farm leader has joined a new political alliance which will see three farmers contesting the Local Elections on June 7. Independent candidate, Joseph Woulfe has joined Independent Ireland following recent discussions with its main political leaders in recent weeks. Interestingly, Independent Ireland now has two candidates contesting the Kilrush Electoral AreaMr Woulfe and Kilkee-based dairy and beef farmer, Kevin Hassett. Before Mr Woulfe joined Independent Ireland, he had wrongly assumed the new alliance used a party whip system like other mainstream political parties, which is not the case. In addition to campaigning against over regulation for farmers, Mr Woulfe cites the need for more affordable housing in West Clare, the restoration of 24-hour casualty services at Ennis.

Joe makes coffee, and then we hit the gym together, or take Jacko on a long walk around Dublin 7. If we’ve been to the gym, we normally cook something with potatoes, eggs and meat for breakfast. I love the sea but I’m not a swimmer — I don’t like being unclothed in public! I prefer to drive to the coast for a dog walk or to people-watch in Sandymount, Clontarf or Dalkey. As I get older, I realise what’s important, and lately, that’s balance.

“The riots were nothing to do with our daughter, which was anger and hate”, says the mother of the ‘strong-willed little fighter’ who remains in a Dublin hospital nearly six months on. “The main message we have is that we don’t want any hate over this and that hate only generates more hate," the mother says. On the morning of Thursday, November 23, the little girl was dropped off at after-school with all of her classmates, as normal. The little girl is in the rehabilitation phase of her journey at Temple Street Hospital in Dublin. "She is enjoying her Irish lessons with the hospital school and loves watching Paddington 1 and 2 for laughs.

Both are full of sugar and artificial colours and everything else awful for you, but that’s always the way with things that taste yummy. Sorry to all the posh-coffee drinkers, but whenever anyone makes me coffee with fresh beans in a cafetiere, it tastes disgusting. I had my first taste of alcohol when I was 15. You will never catch me doing a tequila shot. Wine in Zermatt was a highlight; Gabrielle’s sugar-laden childhoodSwitzerland is one of my favourite places to enjoy a drink.

Photo: GettyOne of the biggest risks to safety at this time of the year is overtaking, especially on narrower two-way roads. You’d want to be mad to try to overtake, but that’s so often the case. To pull out and overtake risks so much. But even there, some drivers try the impossible. Confession time: I used to be a devil at overtaking, especially with a powerful car under my bottom.

Today’s Irish Times/Ipsos B&A poll points to the significant discontent with the Government’s immigration policy and the potential political risk when voters go to the polls on June 7th. Out of 33 countries surveyed by Ipsos, Ireland ranks in the top three countries most worried about immigration. In contrast, almost one in five voters (18 per cent) would be less likely to support this type of candidate. This compares with 32 per cent of Fianna Fáil voters and 31 per cent of Fine Gael voters. Clearly, a party’s or candidate’s position on immigration is part of their appeal, so we can reasonably expect immigration policy to play a role in the upcoming elections.
