The five minutes of added time had already spilled over but the Estadio da Luz was in no hurry to empty. Trublin's goal knocked Madrid into the playoff spots, too, meaning Mourinho may once again face his old side come February. The game may have gone down in the history books even before Trubin's goal, such was the drama. But that would be the only time this Madrid team would lead the game, with Andreas Schjelderup's two goals and a penalty from Vangelis Pavlidis sending Benfica into a commanding lead. Mbappe responded with another, but with Mourinho's side needing that one goal, against his old team, there was always only going to be one outcome.

Photograph: Colin Keegan/CollinsA ban on the use of scramblers in public places is being planned by the Government as well as stricter regulations for e-scooters and e-bikes. In the wake of her death, Taoiseach Micheál Martin signalled the Government would seek to remove scrambler bikes from the roads. Sources briefed on proceedings said afterwards that an outright ban is being planned on scramblers in public places such as parks and roads. Dublin Senator Mary Fitzpatrick, who proposed the motion, argued strongly for a complete ban on scramblers from Irish roads. Party leader and Tánaiste Simon Harris outlined a number of actions being considered including the banning of scramblers in public places, as well as the immediate confiscation of scramblers, (which will not be returned to their owners).

“The IRFU does not tolerate any form of disrespect shown towards match officials and does not condone actions that fall below the standards expected of players representing Irish rugby. The suspension handed out by the disciplinary panel need not necessarily signal the end of Aki’s international career. Should Irish players have been wrapped in cotton wool ahead of the Six Nations? Bundee Aki, bloodied and bruised, during Ireland's Six Nations match against Wales in Cardiff last year. His name invariably induces the loudest cheer for Irish players before games, whether abroad or at home – certainly since Peter O’Mahony retired.

Kim Kardashian has finally addressed the mystery behind why photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle vanished from her Instagram following mom Kris Jenner's milestone 70th birthday celebration. 'Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship.' Prince Harry was notably seen wearing a poppy badge - an emblem of Remembrance Day - on his way into Jenner's party at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's mansion. Another picture was taken from behind Jenner as Meghan placed her hand on her shoulder, while Harry made a silly face toward her. And just like that, Swift was off the table, as Khloe quickly pivoted: 'So… do you like country music?'

Our older son is an easy-going, polite and intelligent child who excels at school and who, generally, seems pretty content with his lot in life. He spends hours in front of a computer screen gaming and watching YouTube videos (like most of his peers) and, while I have no issue with gaming and YouTube per se, over the last year or so he has become slightly overweight. My wife and I find it extremely challenging and utterly exhausting to parent our younger son, as we don’t have much in the way of support nearby. There just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day to attend to both of our son’s needs. (I work full time and my wife has had to give up work to be a full-time carer for our younger child).

Plans to ban scramblers on public roads and in parks will be brought to Cabinet as early as next week. The Irish Examiner understands the Taoiseach insisted that the regulations banning the use of scramblers on public roads, parks and places must be finalised “urgently”. However, he stressed the importance of the new plans, which will see them banned on public roads, public parks, and carparks. “It is far simpler if scramblers are taken off the public roads and not allowed on these roads,” the Taoiseach said. The 2023 Act allows for the banning of scramblers and quad bikes from public roads.

The causes of chronic pain, from shoulders and backs to knees and feet, have long been debated, with no clear answer coming out on top. And about one in three American adults with chronic pain report not having a clear diagnosis or reason behind it. The above CDC graph shows the percentage of adults who have experienced chronic pain and high-impact chronic pain, which significantly limits daily life, in the past three months. The researchers said additional studies are needed to understand the relationship between CGIC and chronic pain, particularly in humans rather than mice. Watkins said: 'Why, and how, pain fails to resolve, leaving you in chronic pain, is a major question that is still in search of answers.'

Raheem Sterling's 'significant financial expectations' make a move to Napoli hard to envisage, according to the club's sporting director Giovanni Manna. Napoli are one of the clubs that have previously shown an interest in the winger and Manna says they held talks with Sterling over the summer. However, Napoli's sporting director does not expect the 31-year-old to join Antonio Conte's side because of his wage demands. Speaking to Sky in Italy before Napoli's Champions League game against Chelsea, Manna said: 'Raheem is very good, but he hasn't been playing for a long time. 'We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player and wish him well for the next stage in his career.'
