Coach Jallah, who holds a double Master’s Degree in Coaching, is a former head coach of the Liberia National Basketball team. For his part, NPA Coach Raphael Quaye, speaking on behalf of the Coaches, welcomed the coaching clinic and thanked the organizers of the two-day meeting. Meanwhile, Coach Jallah said he has observed a lot of poor decisions in the First Division Games. And we need to work on it to improve the quality of the game,” Coach Jallah said.

TAMPERE, Finland – Gibril Massaquoi’s frustration at facing war crimes charges that could send him to jail for life came through on his second day of testimony Friday. Monrovia – The head of Liberia Maritime Authority, Commissioner Eugene Lenn Nagbe has called on Liberians to take ownership and ensure the full implementation of the Open Government Partnership’s latest National Action Plan (NAP) for 2020 to 2022. Headed by a national secretariat, the OGP has five thematic areas: transparency, accountability and integrity, citizens’ participation and inclusion, policy reforms and harnessing e-governance. For his part, British Ambassador to Liberia, Neil Bradley pledged his government’s continued support to the implementation of the National Action Plan. This, according to the plan, will increase public knowledge on bills introduced for passage. This commitment, according to the OGP seeks to address issues of weak legislative oversight, auditing, and public participation in the budgetary process.

Monrovia – The International Trade Center (ITC) and the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) conducted a two-day Digital Marketing Training Programme for tourism sector stakeholders in partnership with the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT). The Digital Marketing Training was the first training of its kind in Liberia within the ITC and UNWTO tourism development support for Liberia. This Digital Marketing Training Course aims to help tourism leaders actively promote Liberia as a tourism destination. It provided us useful insights as to how to develop our own content when it comes to digital marketing. We appreciate the ITC and UNWTO for their support and collaboration towards the development of the Liberia tourism sector.

To mark the celebration of the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation, the government and its partners organized an event which brought together the traditional leaders and called on them to see reasons to end the practice. So, it requires continued engagements with the main players in order to end its most sacred rituals, FGM.
