The 2018 Commonwealth Games 69kg silver medallist is eager to serve as a role model and show young girls that strong is beautiful. "Our Tokyo team will be a full team of women and no men qualifying, so that is a huge tip of the scales. "If you look at our medals from the Commonwealth Games last time, it was very women-heavy. At the 2019 world championships Britain celebrated a first women's medal in 25 years and Emily Muskett, the 2018 Commonwealth Games 75kg gold medallist, shared the podium with two Americans. You have more women that you’d say break the stereotype of weightlifting but are almost becoming weightlifting and really changing that stereotype."

BARCELONA (Reuters) - Holding signs such as "Respect my existence or expect my resistance," thousands of women on Monday protested across Spain against gender violence and in support of equal rights at International Women's Day rallies. In Madrid, authorities banned Women's Day marches after criticism that last year's rallies helped spread the coronavirus. But defying the ban, around 50 women protested at the city's famous Puerta del Sol square, with some carrying placards that read: "Male violence is also a pandemic." It's outrageous that the self-proclaimed most feminist government in history is banning women's marches on March 8," said Josefina Martinez, 42, spokeswoman of a feminist association. A group of women also staged a protest after vandals defaced a mural portraying famous women such as U.S. civil rights activist Rosa Parks and Mexican artist Frida Kahlo on the outskirts of Madrid.

The Financial Accounting Standards Board, which sets accounting standards for U.S. corporations, does not have guidance specific to the accounting for cryptocurrencies. When it gets to an extreme level, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (Arfid) – a lesser-known eating disorder – can have a severe, lifelong impact on our health and quality of nutrition. Although this is an extreme example, it shows the harm that this eating disorder can cause for those who suffer from it. It’s thought to affect around 5-15% of children and less than 1% of adults with eating problems who are admitted to the hospital. Even though picky eating is common in children, this is not the case for children with Arfid. In many cases, consultation with a feeding or eating disorder specialist is necessary.

Registration-based IPO mechanism was first experimented at the Nasdaq-style STAR Market at the Shanghai Stock Exchange in July 2019. Zhongshan Securities’ chief economist Li Zhan said that the work report has demonstrated the regulator’s resolution to remove the disqualified companies from the A-share market. “The registration-based IPO reforms must be coordinated with a responsive delisting mechanism. It is only by controlling both the entrance and exit of the market can a deepened capital market reform be realised and a sound market order built. The combination of the IPO and delisting mechanism will generate a positive influence on the capital market,” he said.

MONSTER, Netherlands: Dutch cress grower Rob Baan has enlisted high-tech helpers to tackle a pest in his greenhouses: palm-sized drones seek and destroy moths that produce caterpillars that can chew up his crops. The drones instantly kill the moths by flying into them, destroying them in midair. We are targeting moths and we are taking out moths every night in an autonomous way without human intervention,” said Pats CEO Bram Tijmons. “I think they still need too many drones... but it will be manageable, it will be less,” he said. “I think they can do this greenhouse in the future maybe with 50 small drones, and then it’s very beneficial.” – AP

The opportunities are vast, especially in the renewable energy sector, where the pace of adoption in recent years has accelerated. “This has created interest among players in green technology and provided them with an easier pathway to obtain financial assistance,” says Shamsul. Other popular government incentives include the Green Investment Tax Allowance, which is applicable to companies that use green technology services listed in MGTC’s MyHIJAU directory. These high-profile investments highlight another driving factor: the availability of funds to support green technology innovations. “Finance is so important in unlocking the potential of green technology because many investments in the past were rooted in the carbon pathway.
