Actress and Miss Hong Kong winner Michelle Reis. ViuTV reality show “Good Night Show - King Maker IV”. Reis first rose to prominence after winning the Miss Hong Kong Pageant at the age of 18 in 1988. But the last time she appeared in a TV show was already 2009 -- when she served as a judge in Miss Hong Kong Pageant competition. In previous seasons of King Maker, actresses Vivan Chow Wai-man and Stephy Tang Lai-yan as well as singer Kay Tse On-kay have served as judges.

Concepcion said Covid-19 booster vaccination will be vital to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant in the country. Earlier, Go Negosyo and over 350 companies from the private sector participated in a meeting with officials of AstraZeneca to streamline initial plans to procure Covid-19 vaccines. During the meeting, Concepcion bared that the private sector has been allowed by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to procure AstraZeneca jabs. "The question is sustaining this beyond Christmas...what we are aiming for is a great 2022," Concepcion said.

PNP reports no new COVID-19 active cases among personnel
MANILA, Philippines — No new active COVID-19 cases were reported in the 220,000-strong Philippine National Police (PNP). According to the PNP, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the agency remains at 25. ADVERTISEMENTMeanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the PNP is 42,240. The latest available data from the PNP show that the vaccination of police personnel against COVID-19 is nearing 100 percent. The total number of COVID-19 cases nationwide is now at 2,836,915, including 10,192 active cases, 2,776,273 recoveries, and 50,449 deaths, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

(Video) Customs' gun-sniffing detector dogs in action
Customs set up the first-ever detector dog team specializing in gun detection, which has been mobilized to cargo and mail stations since November. Two dogs demonstrated searching for firearms at the customs Detector Dog Unit Base at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Therefore, their training was designed based on that of the drug detector dog team. Wong said the parts were primarily delivered to Hong Kong through airmail, and deploying the gun detector dogs can speed up the screening process of mass mail items. The new team will expand the dogs' abilities from Customs Canine Force to gun detection on top of searching for drugs, explosives, and cash.

RIYADH: Boca Juniors beat Barcelona on penalties on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) in Riyadh, in a friendly match in honor of Diego Maradona, marked by the return of Brazilian Dani Alves to the Spanish club. Ferran Jutgla gave Barca the lead in the 50th minute but Exequiel Zeballos leveled mid-way through the second half and the match finished 1-1. The Argentines then won the inaugural "Maradona Cup" 4-2 in a penalty shootout. He was a free agent after leaving Sao Paulo in September following a dispute over unpaid wages.
