(Photo: Assawin Pakkawan)SONGKHLA - A retired civil servant has been arrested after 22 illegal migrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar were found hidden in his seaside resort, reportedly awaiting transport to Malaysia. Immigration officers and tourist police inspected the resort in tambon Na Thab of Chana district at 4.30pm on Wednesday after receiving information that illegal migrants had been sent to stay there. During questioning, Mr Kritidet maintained that he had only recently returned to the resort and claimed no knowledge of the migrants’ presence. Police initially charged Mr Kritidet with harbouring and assisting illegal migrants to evade arrest.
