The Central Bank of Libya said it has reunified after being effectively divided in two for nearly nine years by the country’s civil war. The CBL announced on August 20 that its governor Sadiq Al-Kabir met with deputy governor Maree Muftah Raheel in the central bank’s Tripoli headquarters.
