Although the festival executive committee declines to release exact figures of the earnings of each of the entries, MMFF spokesperson Noel Ferrer shared to The Manila Times the official statement he was tasked to disseminate. Second placer “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles” surpassed P200 million, with Second Best Picture “Aurora” coming in third nearing P100 million. Last year, Regal Entertainment fielded “Haunted Forest” which ended fourth in the gross receipts ranking. Without revealing the figures, the MMFF execom reported that the 2017 edition “set new records” at the box office.
