The National Testing Agency (NTA), on Wednesday, issued an official notice and said that the dates for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2021 (NEET-UG 2021), which was earlier supposed to be held on August 1, will be postponed. The NTA released the notice in response to a fake public notice that was circulating on social media with the subject line 'Conduct of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2021'. The test conducting body has denied issuing any notice declaring the exam date of NEET 2021 to be September 5. The NTA is still in consultation with the concerned stakeholders for finalising a suitable date for the conduct of NEET (UG) – 2021, keeping in view the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic." In addition to this, the NTA also advised students of NEET (UG), their parents/guardians, and other stakeholders to beware of such fake notices.
